KalSoft provides infrastructure consultancy to Ministry of Interior, Oman

KalSoft, one of the leading IT Solutions Provider and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, has successfully deployed ISA, Exchange 2007 and Active Directory at Ministry of Interior (MOI) Oman. MOI required a secure and robust solution that could enhance the productivity and decision making of MOI office.

The major requirement was to maintain multiple sites of users in four separate AD forests along with the connectivity between their two main sites. Further MOI required complete email communication mechanism as well as centralized security to protect their environment from internet-based threats. The solution comprising ISA, active Directory 2006 and Microsoft Exchange 2007 was proposed by KalSoft to satisfy MOI diverse business-critical needs and business processes.

Active Directory facilitated the application of a fully integrated directory and security services; single sign-on to multiple applications and services along with the interoperability amongst other platforms and applications. The deployment of MS Exchange catered to the issues like enhanced security policies, proper email messaging solution, proper back-up and data availability mechanisms, provision of standard desktop configuration and improved security while ISA was deployed to enhance facilitate the integrated security, foster efficient management and enable fast and secure access of applications on the network.

The solution provided by KalSoft consultants has improved operational efficiency and security at MOI. MOI users are experiencing greater server availability, superior reliability and better manageability with faster data backup and recovery via storage groups. They are able to access applications in secure and efficient manner. Mobile users can now access their data through Outlook Web Access and Outlook Mobile Access.
