Successful
implementation of Business Intelligence
(BI) solutions by KalSoft at Oman Gas
Company (OGC)
KalSoft,
a premier IT solutions provider and
Microsoft Gold Certified partner,
successfully implemented “Business
Intelligence Solutions”
at Oman Gas Company (OGC) in collaboration with Software
Systems LLC (SSL). OGC was
established as a Closed Joint Stock
Company in August 2000 by Oman Oil
Company. The IT Division at OGC
had been growing and expanding tremendously
and required a state-of-the-art solution
to stay competitive. KalSoft provided BI
solutions based on Microsoft
Technologies supported to further strengthen the
diversity and competitiveness.
Software Systems LLC provided the hardware
assistance for this project. KalSoft
consultants deployed “Business
Intelligence Solution” based on MS
ProClarity Analytics 6.2.3OGC which
catered the requirement of a user
friendly interface for consolidating
information from the company’s three
existing systems; Sun financial Systems
for financial application, Pacer System
and Pay Manager system. MS ProClarity
contains Analytics Server, a middle-tier
server that is a powerful central
component of the ProClarity business
intelligence solution. The solution
mainly comprises data analysis facility
for the business areas including
Finance, Human Recourse Management
System (HRMS), Procurement, Inventory,
Maintenance, and Performance Monitoring
using Balanced Score Card.
This project has provided
decision-makers at OGC a BI tool to
gauge their business processes, the
competitive intensity and manipulate the
organizational data and transform it
into strategic information accessible at
all levels.
