KalSoft and Microsoft co-host "Microsoft Developer Days 2006"

KalSoft (Pvt) Ltd. in collaboration with Microsoft hosted the annual Microsoft Developer Days event. The event titled as "Microsoft Developer Days 2006" was held on the 14th of March 2006 at Karachi Pearl Continental Hotel.

"Microsoft Developer Days 2006" was held with a focus on Microsoft .Net Framework Security. The main purpose of the event was to update the current IT mainstream about the latest cutting edge tools and techniques that improve security during project life cycle using Microsoft Technologies and thereby enabling them to practice better developing methodologies in an industry where security is an ever growing concern. The core intention of this seminar was to highlight Security issues in the Microsoft .Net Framework and discuss the solutions that would not compromise the information due to these security risks.

All the presenters are qualified and specialists of there respective areas, Mr. Vaqar Khamisani (ISV Manager Microsoft, Pakistan) gave an overview of Application Security; from KalSoft (Pvt) Ltd. Mr. Naseem Siddiqui (SDM, Technology Consultant) presented A Holistic View of Enterprise Security and XML Web Services Security using WSE 3.0, Mr. Farrukh Khalil (Senior Software Engineer) presented Web Application Security in ASP.NET 2.0, Mr. Faraz Qureshi (Senior Software Engineer) presented The What, Why and How of the Microsoft Security Development Lifecycle and Why You Should Care, the last presenter was Mr. Naveed Bajwa (Technology Consultant, Senior Software Engineer) who informed the audience regarding the Windows Communications Foundation ("Indigo"): Writing Secure Distributed Applications.

The audience comprised of top technical staff from major Pakistani Corporations and Microsoft personnel. The whole event was an interactive session where all presenters answered queries of the audience members. All attendees received gift hampers (courtesy of KalSoft and Microsoft).

The event was very successful and met its objectives. The feedback received from the audience was also very positive.
