KalSoft completes development for EGD’s E-Services Project for Islamabad Administration
After rigorous hard work, KalSoft has concluded the deployment of all applications under the E-Government Directorate’s project titled "E-Services at Chief/Deputy Commissioner’s office, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT)”, in the scheduled time.
The initiative by Electronic Government Directorate invoked the participation of 106 individual stakeholders involved in the timely completion of the project. Despite prevalent law and order crisis the District Administration was committed to make this a success under the dynamic leadership of the Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed who was deeply involved in the project through all phases.
The ICT Administration acquired a system that enables the officials and staff to effectively and efficiently execute key Citizen Services that are instrumental for any District Management. The complete application suite ranges from issuing licenses, permits, regulating laws, digitizing official documents, financial reporting control, web portal and project management for local government.
Automation of the department processes will assist ICT Administration in efficient decision making with synchronized and effective flow of information.
KalSoft team of experts have developed a comprehensive, secure, standardized and extensible solution comprising of customized development, MOSS 2007, Microsoft Live Communication Server 2005, Microsoft Enterprise Project Management Server 2007 and Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains.
Despite all the challenges that arise in enterprise level government projects the KalSoft team, Electronic Government Directorate and ICT Administration was at par to complete development and worked proactively while keeping a clear understanding of the ground realities.
As the software development activity has been completed, the project has now entered in a more challenging transition phase which involves deployment and launching of the newly developed system. Keeping in view the hindsight of commitment shown earlier by the agencies involved, the project will emerge unscathed and provide effective citizen services. This will also enhance interaction between the citizens of Islamabad and the ICT Administration.
