Promotion of IT industry Underlined

Karachi: Chairman Microsoft Corporation Chairman for Middle East and Africa Emre Berkin, saying Pakistan has great potential for the development of the IT sector, has stressed on promotion of IT industry in the country beside training of IT professionals and teachers on international standards.
There is also need to invest more money in this sector and it should be included in the curricula of the school and varsities as followed in India, Egypt, Jordan, etc.
He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of KalSoft Academy on Wednesday here. The Microsoft Corporation already had announced to appoint KalSoft as a Certified Partner in Learning Solutions (CPLS) for the southern part of Pakistan.
Appreciating the establishment of this academy, he said setting the standard for high quality training facilities would impact positively on the credibility of the certification.
“We believe that having quality learning solution partners in Pakistan will help us controlling this quality, Being a Microsoft CPLS, the KalSoft will have to follow rigorous requirements from Microsoft to assure that the highest standards are met.
The centre has to employ Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) at every site and meet extensive facility, hardware and system requirements, and quarterly minimum courseware purchase requirements,“ he added.
