Centralized LDAP Solution in Central Bank of Oman
Established 1974, The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) is responsible for maintaining the internal and external value of the national currency. It’s also the regulator of the Oman’s commercial banks, specialized banks and finance and leasing companies. The bank is one of the biggest financial Institutes in Oman.
For CBO, KalSoft is currently working on a centralized LDAP solution, along with Bahwan IT. CBO sought to manage their resources in a centralized manner, with identity security, as all their security polices were disbursed, causing threat to their system.
The old infrastructure at CBO was based on Windows NT. 4.0 and around 30 plus in house developed application running. KalSoft Consultancy team designed a solution to execute the road map for CBO that can migrate their OS to new restructure Windows 2003 Active Directory Services Environment. This resulted to the deployment of Identity Management system to integrate those identities of all application.
On completion of this solution CBO will enjoy efficiency boost by integrating the existing infrastructures, automating and centralizing identity lifecycle processes and tools that were historically disparate and manual. Also improving operational efficiency by gaining a single view of a user across multiple systems, strong authentication tools seamlessly with end-to-end lifecycle management and reduce integration and customization costs by providing a single foundation for all core identity lifecycle management.
