KalSoft facilitates organizational effectiveness at Noor Islamic Bank

Noor Islamic Bank (NIB) is a new entrant in the financial sector of Dubai with a philosophy to promote Islamic Banking in the Middle East region. NIB is part of Dubai Investment Group a financial and real estate affiliates of Dubai Holding. NIB is committed to providing highly evolved and progressive Islamic banking services. The management at NIB recognized the need to improve organizational effectiveness through a unified suite of enterprise-scale applications to address the diverse business-critical needs of content management, streamline business processes and simplify how people find and share information across the organization.

The project was completed in collaboration with Seven Seas, a premier end-to-end Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions provider. The deployment at NIB is a part of an automation process for a paperless environment. The consultants at KalSoft studied the current processes at NIB and mapped these issues to a solution based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 with Web Content Management, Record Management, Document Management and Form Management. MOSS 2007 is an integrated suite of server capabilities that provides comprehensive content management and enterprise search and facilitating information-sharing across boundaries for better business decisions.

KalSoft also recommended the use of Microsoft Solution Framework (MSF) for MOSS 2007 implementation that analyses business requirements and provides a controlled deployment of the solution throughout the organization.

The successful completion and implementation of MOSS 2007 has helped NIB simplify everyday business activities, boosting employee productivity. This deployment has enabled the management to make better-informed decisions with readily available up to date business-critical information.
