Problem Faced
AUB was facing difficulty in apps migration, resulting to inefficient time frames utilization and costing. They required assistance in migrating some complex databases and scripting on Microsoft Transporter Suite. The environment at AUB consisted of Exchange 2007 (2 CAS +2 MBX servers), MOSS 2007 single server and Complex Lotus Notes applications run on 9 databases. These applications required a shift to MOSS 2007. The setup wasn’t cost effective and increased AUB overheads, causing delay in acquiring timely results.

Implemented Solution
KalSoft consultants provided AUB a solution based on MOSS 2007, aiming to troubleshoot the Lotus Notes SharePoint Migration environment. This migration of transaction notification database from Lotus Notes database to MOSS 2007 environment has enhanced AUB operational effectiveness. A step by step migration document was created to assist AUB staff to perform rest of the transition themselves. With the help of Microsoft Application Analyzer 2006 report generating tool was developed, while workflows were created through SharePoint Designer.
