Client Overview
GAJ Chartered Architects is a well established international practice with its main working office in Dubai in the UAE, and has Head Office in the West Midlands, UK. Current projects of GAJ include residential schemes, leisure and tourism, health and sports clubs, hotels, educational, inner city commercial offices and retail, as well as the new National Assembly Building in Bahrain. Winners of various Civic Trust and International awards including, most recently that of “The best of the best golf clubhouse in the world” from Golfing World in 1998 and the HYLAR ’94 Award sponsored by World Architecture (the only UK award winner). Architectural Review/Cityscape 2004 Award for the Best Built Leisure Project in the Developing World.

Problems Faced
GAJ wanted to acquire business solutions agility and interoperability via web services though dual implementations; One for Sharjah office and the other implementation for Dubai Office by restoring from Implementation One and the deployment of the state of the art Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. A GAP analysis was conducted before implementing this project and on the basis of that a time line was created with a 20% variation flexibility. The gap analysis was performed to study requirements and recommendations.

Managerial efficacy needed to be improved at GAJ tremendously which required an integrated suite of enterprise-scale application that could satisfy its multi purpose business needs. GAJ wanted to optimize interaction of people, content, processes, and business applications by deploying one integrated platform, instead of relying on various fragmented systems.

Implemented Solution
Consultants from KalSoft thoroughly analyzed the business environment at GAJ and recommended the out of the box implementation of MOSS 2007. It is one of the critical business intelligence tools available today. MOSS 2007 can be used to "facilitate collaboration, implement business processes, and supply access to information that is essential to organizational goals and processes. The vision of this project was also to bring about out of the box workflows, document management, business intelligence features and archrivals to serve GAJ’s business need of a paper less environment.
