 Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is Pakistan’s leading integrated gas Company. The company is engaged in the business of transmission and distribution of natural gas besides construction of high pressure transmission and low pressure distribution systems.

Problems Faced
The old system applied was manual thus difficulty was felt in document sharing and management of all important details present. There was no online collaboration for sharing data, news and other important details that would be required for work to be fast an effective. Documents and reports could not be consolidated for work and there was a lack of security felt as anyone could gain access to confidential data.

Implemented Solution
KalSoft proposed the Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 for the ease of Document Management System, Personalization and Team Collaboration. With this technology SSGC could easily upload and edit the document online, and also maintain a document versioning history. For personalization the solution provided personal dashboards for the high officials who wanted to review reports and information at one glance. A collaborated system was provided to easily manage and update the SSGC portal without having any knowledge of HTML or web based technology along with integrating the departments for document sharing, online meetings, discussion forums and online available content.
